Personal Development
The RSP Competency framework is specific to the infant, child and youth sector. It was developed with the understanding that there are specific skills and knowledge required when working with infant, children, young people, and whānau.
RSP is designed to sit alongside and complement other professional frameworks. Including:
Let's get real : A framework describing the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to deliver effective mental health and addiction services. It provides a foundation for all of the competency frameworks relevant to all people working in the mental health and addictions sector.
Te Whare o Tiki : A framework describing the knowledge and skills required by the mental health and addiction workforce to be able to effectively respond to the needs of people with co-existing problems and their family/whānau.
Real Skills Plus Seitapu : A framework describing the essential and desirable knowledge, skills and attitudes to engage with Pasifika peoples.
Takarangi Competency Framework : (Matua Raki, 2009). The Takarangi competency framework provides a pathway to develop cultural competence, enhance cultural fluency, analyse workforce needs relating to Māori responsiveness and monitor quality assurance.
